REQUIREMENTS : NQF degree three (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent). A legitimate driver’s licence (minimum of code EC). Five (5) years’ riding experience. General Competencies: Communication, capacity to read and write, right eyesight and teamwork. Technical competencies: Operation of the equipment, bodily inspection of motors and interpret guidelines for applicable use of all controls for secure operation of vehicles, Interpret and follow operating manuals, renovation manuals and carrier charts.
DUTIES : Drive Heavy duty vehicles: Transportation of work teams and
materials/equipment, realize and restore minor mechanical troubles on the vehicles and take steps to have it repaired (check stage and situation of oil, fuel, tyres and water), inspection of vehicles/equipment and record defects, complete car logbook, day trip authorization for the vehicle.
