PROFESSIONAL NURSE GRADE 1 (PN-B1): ICU TRAINED /EXPERIENCED REF NO: MPDOH/MAY/26/303 (X10 POSTS)

SALARY : R495 423 – R581 931 per annum
CENTRE : Ermelo Hospital (Gert Sibande District)

REQUIREMENTS : Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equal plus Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (i.e. Diploma / Degree in General Nursing) or equal qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse and Midwifery (2026), a post-basic nursing qualification, with a duration of at least 1 year, permitted with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R212 forte in ICU Trained Nursing Science / experienced. Minimum of four (4) years appropriate /recognizable journey in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC. Ability to function independently and to prioritize work. Leadership and sound interpersonal skills, problem fixing and decision-making skills. Good supervisory and teaching skills.

DUTIES : Provision of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care with set requirements and within a professional/legal framework. Provide complete health care services in the ICU Unit. Ensure high-quality and efficient administration of resources. Provide fine patient care, follow norms and standards. Participate in quality enchancment programs. Supervise and enforce affected person care standards. Implement and exercise nursing health care in accordance with the statutory laws governing the nursing profession, labor and fitness care. Implement positive working relations with nurses and different stake holders. Ensure compliance of Infection Prevention and Control policies. Ensure that the equipment is practical and equipped all the time. Ability to prioritize, coordinate activities of affected person administration in accordance to protocols. Able to format and prepare your very own work and that of guide personnel to ensure ideal nursing care. Participate in personnel improvement and overall performance management. Report affected person safety incidence, challenges and deficiencies within the unit. Work effectively, co-operatively amicably with human beings of numerous intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Ensure adherence to Batho – Pele Principles and Patient’s Right Charter.
