Job Details

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a clean environment for employees and visitors of the South African Bank Note Company (SABN) by cleaning their workstations, hallways, restrooms, and storage areas.

Key Duties (not limited to):

Clean specified areas by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents, among other things.
Keep the walkways and side walls clean.
Keep the kitchen clean in accordance with the established cleaning schedule.
Rinsing the serving utensils, plates, bowls, and trays.
Checking off items on the checklist and inspecting the specified locations every day.
Parts that are difficult to clean should be done once a week.
Assisting stores with ad hoc tasks, such as cleaning the areas and refrigerators
Able to identify and understand common kitchen chemicals.

A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a cleaning capacity is required, as is a high school diploma.

Knowledge and Skills:

Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment
Cleaning of all areas
Health, Safety & Environment
Company rules, procedures and processes
