Job Requirements
The Engineering and Technical Support Services directorate is seeking a Tradesman Aid specializing in electrical work. Candidates should have a minimum of a Grade 10 education (or equivalent) and appropriate experience in the field. The job requires physical fitness for manual labor and the willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape Province.
Key Responsibilities
- Minor Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Repairs and Breakdowns: Assist with repairs and emergency breakdowns, including after-hours repairs.
- Installation Assistance: Help with the installation of plant equipment and alterations.
- Work Area Maintenance: Clear areas where work has been carried out.
- Tool and Material Management: Ensure tools and materials are available when needed.
- Support Artisans: Assist artisans in executing their duties.
Skills and Competencies
Candidates must be skilled in handling tools and possess good interpersonal skills.
