Job Description

Meridian Wine Merchants seeks an enthusiastic and proactive Hybrid Sales Consultant for the Cape Town region. Passionate about the Wine Industry, stellar communication skills, and dynamic sales abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute call procedures per SOP on pre, during, and post-call processes.
  • Execute sales levers at outlets according to SOP and customer call procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy of all wines listed in your sales area per wine list database SOP.
  • Manage stock allocation per RSM requirements and stock allocation report.
  • Submit expense reports on time as per SOP.
  • Log calls and capture interactions with customers on handheld devices as per SOP and RSM requirements.
  • Introduce new products, vintage changes, and upliftment procedures per SOP.
  • Conduct Client Trade visits per RSM’s requirements and SOP.
  • Deliver customer satisfaction through effective call cycle management.
  • Assist new customers in opening accounts per SOP on new accounts.
  • Address customer complaints, queries, and requests per Communication SOP and contact grid.
  • Identify and execute promotional opportunities per customer needs and promotional SOP.
  • Identify customer training needs and execute training plans.
  • Understand sales strategy and personal sales targets by customer and brand, delivering results.
  • Adhere to dress code (smart casual) as per SOP.
  • Manage and care for company assets including car, laptop, and handheld devices as per SOP.
  • Submit expense reports on time as per SOP.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or Food and Beverage Management (beneficial).
  • 2-3 years Sales and Merchandising experience in FMCG environment/liquor industry.
  • CWA Certificate Wine Course.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
