ANC’s Commitment to GNU Says Secretary General Fikile Mbalula
ANC Reaffirms Leadership in Government of National Unity
In his closing remarks the ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula describes the party commitment to lead the South Africa Government of National Unity.
Greetings dear fellow South Africans!
Did you get to see the latest from Fikile Mbalula the secretary general of the African National Congress?
He recently pointed out that, “The ANC will not walk away from GNU.” We lead the GNU and we cannot afford to walk away from something which we are leading.»
In the 2024 elections there was no outright victory for the ANC in terms of seating proportion.
This resulted in the signing of what was known as the Government of National Unity (GNU) that Domelevo said united many parties to chart the way forward for the country.
His utterances paints the ANC in good light in relation to this new model of governance that fuses between the central and the provincial governments.
He insisted that the party is committed to governing GNU and did not consider the possibility of pulling out from it.
This is important especially if the country is to have a stable political climate through which the Government’s agenda is implemented.
The GNU is formed by such political parties as the Democratic Alliance (DA), the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and others who collectively aim at solving South African issues.
This is why Mbalula has sought to reiterate the leadership of the ANC in order to cement this cartel and bring together other political players.
This is a critical time for our nation and to support GNU the ANC must show this commitment to governance partnership.
So, your opinion regarding the role perform by the ANC in the GNU?
What do you think can correct the complexion of the South Africa challenges with this coalition Government?
