Hey there! Well, there’s something that happened recently that everybody is in discussion about. Even at the Ga-Chuene Clinic in the Limpopo province, two nurses were abducted and taken round the clock in turns to see their attackers. The sad incident was carried to conclusion by the suspect, who was on parole, and overpowered the security guards.
This incident really makes you wonder: How safe are our clinics? I mean, if someone can just walk in and do this, what is being done to ensure that people who work tirelessly to take care of us are safe?
Major cases have occurred to close the clinic for some time after the attack. The Department of Health then agreed to reopen said establishment with certain new protocols implemented; however, for the time being, the place is only open for business during the day.
Limpopo Province Premier Phophi Ramathuba said there were over 10 heinous cases in the province allegedly associated with the suspect.
Without doubt something has to be done. The people who are working in the healthcare sector and interfering their lives to save our shouldn’t give consideration to themselves.
