Job Description

Our client in the FMCG retail industry is looking for a Butchery Manager/Blockman for their stores in the East Rand and Pretoria areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform people management functions.
• Ensure client satisfaction of our customers.
• Ensure product and stock availability through effective planning.
• Take responsibility for all quality control activities in the Meat environment.
• Manage the administrative functions within the butchery.
• Oversee all Hygiene and Safety activities.
• Conduct various ad-hoc responsibilities to assist the team.
• Manage, supervise, and train employees in the department.
• Handle stock procurement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Relevant qualification.
• Blockman NQF 3 qualification is a must.
• Previous management experience is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of Butchery Management experience.
• Basic knowledge of first aid is advantageous.
• Experience in the Meat/Retail Industry.
• Knowledge of butchery hygiene and safety standards.
• Knowledge of meat cuts/products.
