Job Description
Our client in the FMCG retail industry is looking for a Butchery Manager/Blockman for their stores in the East Rand and Pretoria areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform people management functions.
- Ensure client satisfaction of our customers.
- Ensure product and stock availability through effective planning.
- Take responsibility for all quality control activities in the Meat environment.
- Manage the administrative functions within the butchery.
- Oversee all Hygiene and Safety activities.
- Conduct various ad-hoc responsibilities to assist the team.
- Manage, supervise, and train employees in the department.
- Handle stock procurement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Relevant qualification.
- Blockman NQF 3 qualification is a must.
- Previous management experience is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of Butchery Management experience.
- Basic knowledge of first aid is advantageous.
- Experience in the Meat/Retail Industry.
- Knowledge of butchery hygiene and safety standards.
- Knowledge of meat cuts/products.
