The Ethics of Eating Meat in Today’s Society
A critical discussion on the moral of people eating meat based on the aspect of human rights and animals rights.
Intake of meat has remained an issue that dominates different forums. Recent talks that have been made have discussed that people have rights, animals too must be protected.
I don’t know but it is so sad that during a conference that was held not so long ago, Dr. Candace Croney gave solid arguments why one should eat meat. Adequate nutrition security was pointed out to have to be provided and availability of the food for the needy in the society. However it cannot be forgotten that there is an ethic of delivering good protein.
However, what makes all these ethical issues of eating meat even more immediate is the fact that they are not hypothetical and certainly not futuristic.
Critics argue that a less-red meat plea will reduce the chances of those, who are most vulnerable, getting the required nutrients. These bring several issues as to the area of moral and cultural imperialism with regard to foods that we consume.
Secondly, what and how people discuss meat and cover it is evolving as a result of various concerns to the impact on the environment and threats to health.
However, that role of livestock should be accepted given the significantly developing ecosystem. These factors have to be brought to bear when undertaking a diet requiring a savings or nonsavings approach.
However, there is a question of whether it is ethical to consume meat or not is contingent upon some sub-parameters which reflect the interest of many a stakeholder. With regards to the different problems that society comes across, the discussion stands relevant in the handling of the management of issues that have been defused.
