Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
The Cooker will be responsible for preparing food for daily kitchen production, ensuring that high-quality food service is provided consistently.

Education and Experience

Minimum Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Cooker in a contract catering environment is essential.
- Experience in a hospital environment is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Matric (High School Diploma).
- A qualification in Food and Beverage or Culinary Arts.

Key Responsibilities

Food Production:
- Prepare and present food of the highest quality to contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen.
Batch Cooking:
- Ability to perform batch cooking, particularly in a hospital environment.
Kitchen Support:
- Assist the kitchen team with general duties to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
