Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an experienced Cleaner on a fixed term contract for their store in Garden Route, George. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and neat store, adhering to Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards. This includes the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store and communal areas.
- Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary products.
- Be available throughout operational hours for cleaning as needed.
- Use correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
- Ensure the wet floor sign is up and visible when cleaning the floor.
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
- Sound command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Willing and able to work retail hours
- Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
