Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an experienced Cleaner on a fixed term contract for their store in Garden Route, George. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and neat store, adhering to Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards. This includes the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store and communal areas.
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary products.
• Be available throughout operational hours for cleaning as needed.
• Use correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Ensure the wet floor sign is up and visible when cleaning the floor.
• Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Essential:
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
  • Sound command of the English language
  • Basic customer service skills
  • Willing and able to work retail hours
• Advantageous:
  • Bilingual
  • Previous retail store cleaning experience
