Role Purpose:
As a Warehouse Operator at Econo Foods, you’ll play a crucial role in the order fulfillment process by accurately selecting, packing, and counting products based on picking instructions. Your efforts will help ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety in our fast-paced FMCG retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform loose case and layer picking based on detailed instructions.
- Securely pack and label picked items, ensuring quality and pallet stability.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of orders during the picking process.
- Report out-of-stock or short-picked items and any discrepancies to inventory control.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency.
- Communicate concerns about product quality or packaging to the relevant team.
- Participate in training to enhance picking skills and stay updated on procedures.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the team’s goals while operating within safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG Retail industry.
- Valid Electric Pallet Jack License.
Competencies Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Team-oriented, with a friendly, helpful, and confident attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
