Job Purpose and Description

Maintain all designated machinery in a timely and high-quality manner through scheduled, preventative, and emergency repairs.

URGENT OUTCOMES

• Carry out assigned duties in compliance with issued job cards (work orders) in a manner consistent with Client and Company standards
• Fix malfunctioning equipment by investigating, evaluating, and repairing it.
• In accordance with SLA, perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on all appliances and electrical equipment.
• Install furniture, shop fit, fix doors, locks, handles, and windows; replace ceiling and carpet tiles; general paintwork; and perform other jobs associated with office moves.
• Per SLA, service and perform minor repairs on all plumbing-related equipment.
• Repair and inspect all air conditioning equipment to tier 1 standards.
• Examine and document the condition of all fire and access control devices, including extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire detectors, and more.
• Assist the Artisan with important repairs and services
• Provide regular reporting to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager /Resource Co-ordinator on restoration progress of activities

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
• N3 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical) Matric (Senior Certificate)
• Valid SA Drivers License
• 3yrs relevant experience in Handyman maintenance jobs
• Basic training on hand tools, electrical and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
